How it works

How points work
The rarer your answer among players, the more it scores. An answer nobody thinks of is worth far more than the obvious one. Mistakes cost a few points, and finishing fast earns a bonus.

What the grid asks for
Frequently asked questions
Are Cardiff, Edinburgh or Belfast answers?
No. Only capitals of sovereign states are on the list: for the United Kingdom, that is London.
How is a capital's population counted?
By the city in its administrative sense, not the whole metropolitan area.
Is Geodoku Capitals free?
Yes. Today's grid and free play are free to play in the browser, no account required. The Doku app is also available on iPhone and Android, with the same grids and the same progress.
